Cloning is considered the great medical breakthrough of our time. As the definition says clones are copies of the gaze of another human being or what he likes to eat, but the whole personality of a person is based on the experiences of his life and there is a method of cloning that can replace personality. There are also medical disadvantages in human cloning, making it less effective benefits. He first thought that stem cells could be obtained only from embryos, but researchers are now discovering that any human cell can be manipulated to replace the tissues of the body.
Health risks from mutation of genes – an abnormal baby would be a nightmare come true. The technique is very risky at this time. A particular concern is the possibility that the genetic material used in the elderly continue to age, while genes in a cloned baby could be – say – 30 years or older on the day of birth. Numerous attempts to clone animals produced disfigured monsters with severe abnormalities. So would the creation of cloned embryos, their implantation and destruction (probably) those who seek imperfect as they grow in the uterus.
One of the disadvantages of cloning mansion is there an ongoing debate on the ethical issue of cloning. The concept of cloning is very bad feelings man believes human years. There is much debate about whether cloning is ethical or not. Now the controversy is sweeping the world and had a great shape. The world seems divided you on issues related to cloning. Christianity and Judaism are not compatible with the destruction of embryos or the creation of man contrived.
Cloning has always been a subject whose thoughts both fascinates and frightens the world. On February 27, 1997, a surprising announcement appeared in the British journal Nature that rocked the scientific world: for the first time on record, a mammal, a sheep named Dolly had been successfully cloned from an adult cell. Parallel to this surprising announcement, the scientist reported the successful cloning of a rhesus monkey, a primate whose reproduction and development is almost identical to a human being.
The potential benefits of cloning
Animals. Animal cloning-cloning serve many useful purposes and will be a significant biotechnology industry. The driving force at Roslin was immediately more effective development of transgenic animals, animals that have been modified by adding genes from other species, like humans. Current methods, based on micro-injection of desired DNA in the nucleus of an egg, are unreliable and inefficient. If the foreign DNA, as a human gene could be introduced into cell lines in culture, cells expressing the human gene could be the source of donor nuclei for cloning. All descendants then express the desired gene in humans.
Much current attention is now focused on changing the genes of cows and sheep that can produce large amounts of pharmaceutically important proteins in their milk, such as insulin or factor VIII to treat hemophilia. In fact, this is the application that generated the study, Wilmut desire to make a transgenic sheep, including human insulin in their milk, thus providing an effective source of this substance. There is also interest in producing pigs whose genes have been modified to produce a regulatory protein component of human immune system. This would make pig organs more suitable for human transplantation.
